How to get to Hua Hin

About 200km away from Bangkok, Hua Hin is an excellent seaside getaway destination. It is simple and hassle-free to get to Hua Hin from Bangkok.  You can get there by either bus, train or private transfers.

Hua Hin is 200km away from Bangkok, which it takes approximately two and a half hours to drive. Public transport is provided with convenience. From Bangkok, you can take buses and trains if you prefer affordable transportations. For a more comfortable journey, private transfers offer door-to-door service, which pick you up at your accommodation and drop you off at your final destination in Hua Hin.

By Bus

There are regular buses leaving from Sai Tai Mai (Southern) Terminal. Buses run daily and every 30 minutes from 4:00 to 22:20. The ride takes about three and a half hours to Hua Hin. In Hua Hin, you will likely to be dropped off in front of the clock tower in the center of Hua Hin then the bus makes the final stop at the main Hua Hin bus station in the far south of town. There are also minivans running every half an hour from Victory Monument which you can find at the same named BTS station from 5:00 to 20:00.

There are also shared shuttles running from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to Airport to Hua Hin which depart from 7:30 to 19:30 and every 1 and a half hours. You can find the bus at the counter which is on level 1 at gate number 8. The shuttle will make a stop at Cha-Am which is 30 minutes away from Hua Hin. The final drop off point in Hua Hin is on the road between Soi 96 and Soi 98.

If you arrive at Don Muang Airport, there is a free shuttle bus which brings you to Suvarnabhumi Airport. From there, you can take a shared shuttle to Hua Hin.

By Train

It takes about four to five hours to get from Bangkok to Hua Hin by train due to the route which takes you through Thonburi and Nakhon Pathom before heading south to Hua Hin. Trains with different classes depart from Hua Lamphong Railway Station at various times from 8:05 to 22:20. You will arrive at the Hua Hin’s historic train station which is located near the center of the town.

By Private Transfers

Private Transfers from Bangkok to Hua Hin are offered. Door-to-door service is provided, which maximizes your comfort and convenience. The vehicle will pick you up at your accommodation and drop you off at your hotel in the destination.
